This is a new service - your feedback will help us to improve it.

Does your business provide tax services?

Tax services could be:

  • giving advice on someone else’s tax affairs
  • acting as an agent for tax affairs
  • assisting with documents HMRC uses to work out someone else’s tax position

Providing tax services does not have to be the main role of your business.

You may have to register even if you do not see yourself as a tax adviser, for example, if you submit or pay Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns or claims on behalf of clients.
