What happens to my forms and returns after they have been acknowledged?
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will check them against their quality standards and send a message to your software to tell you if they are acceptable; or if you need to correct mistakes and send them again. If you cannot find the message, please telephone the HMRC Online Services helpdesk to check their status. This is particularly important when you need to meet a statutory filing deadline.
