Period end for the Annual Accounting Scheme

You should select the month when you want your annual accounting year to end. The annual accounting year will end on the last day of this month and will determine when the business needs to submit the annual VAT Return to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

For example, if the business chooses annual accounting periods ending in January, a VAT return will need to be submitted to HMRC by the 7th calendar day of March.
