Amount paid in period

The amount paid in the period is the total amount of payments allocated against the amount due in the period. This may include:

• PAYE/CIS payments received
• penalty payments received
• payments which have been reallocated to the amount due from either another tax month or tax year, or from another account, for example Self Assessment or VAT
• repayment interest
• any amounts not yet allocated eg Payments on Account
