This is the Password you selected when you first signed up for an Online Government Account (also known as a Government Gateway Account).

The letters in your password are not case sensitive.

If you incorrectly enter your User ID or Password 3 times or more, you will be locked out of your HMRC Online Services account for two hours. After that time you will be able to try again to sign in using the correct User ID and Password.
