The scheme has been wound up
You must complete this section if the scheme has completed winding up. For some types of scheme this will be where all the assets have been distributed and liabilities secured so nothing remains and there is a legal instrument formally winding up the scheme. For two party contract schemes this may be when the contract has finally ceased, for example, on death of a member or transfer to another contract.
You do not need to make a report under this event heading if:
- the scheme is an annuity contract which was in existence before 6 April 2006
- the scheme is still in the process of winding up and, for example, it is still distributing the schemes assets or securing liabilities as the scheme will still be subject to the normal reporting requirements until this process is complete.
