- Description
- The Loop Booster is an external accessory to aid hearing. The item is used together with a sound processor and transfers sound from room loops directly to the cochlea implant in the inner ear to improve hearing. The processing unit comprises of two microphones for receiving sound, an internal telecoil for receiving magnetic fields (signals) from neck-loops and room-loops and a connector port for audio accessories (e.g. Personal Audio Cable). The 4-pin accessory port connects the loop booster to the telecoil (small coil) in the sound processor which converts the magnetic field signals picked up by loop system (loops systems are found in public places such as cinemas and auditoriums) and transmits an audio signal of higher sound quality by minimizing interference, directly to cochlear implant/recipient’s ear. This item can only be used with a specific hearing aid sound processor and for no other purpose. Packed in a tamper proof protective sleeve.

- Classification has been determined in accordance with the following:- For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect : a.
