- Description
- A Reusable Passive Cold Chain Container predominately used for the transportation of medicines, vaccines, biologics, stem/gene-cell therapies and healthcare and pharmaceutical products that require a temperature-controlled environment to maintain the efficacy of the cargo. Robust outer casing consisting of mixed moulded plastics (including: medium density polyethylene & polyethylene terephthalate glycol and polyurethane). Insulated with a mixture of foam and vacuum insulated panels, which are silicon and carbon based. They have a metal structure and mechanical components including an integrated data logger. Internal temperatures are controlled by phase-change materials in ranges: -15° - -25°, +2 - +8°, +15° - +25° & dry ice of -60° - -80°. The phase-change material is made of hydrocarbon and salt hydrate coolant material. The containers are made from component parts and assembled; primary manufacturing process through rotational-moulding. Pre-conditioned phase-change materials are installed within the passive cold chain containers, stabilizing the internal temperature to the required range giving 120 hours of performance. Designed and equipped for carriage by more than one mode of transport.
