- Description
- A two track 10te hydraulic tensioner is a robust, compact energy efficient offshore cable handling system. The modular structure is made from painted carbon steel. The tensioner has been designed for easy integration to lay and to recover offshore cables, flowlines and umbilical products within the oil and gas industry. By using its 2 x horizontally orientated caterpillar tracks makes sure that these processes are completed in a controlled and safe way. The equipment consists of 2 vertically mounted track carriages with 140deg "v" shaped pu pads. Product speed, distance, tension and grip are monitored by the carousel operator. The tensioner has both local and remote controls. Additional oil cooling is done by water cooler. The tensioner works in conjunction with the carousel or the reel drive systems.
