Description
Copper wire scrap that is made from refined copper with at least 99.85% by weight of copper. As part of a process known as urban mining, scrap copper from old or redundant pipework, roofing sheets or electrical wiring is recovered and sent to specialist copper recycling facilities, where it is melted down in a furnace and then cast into new products.

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, Reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a.
