- Description
- A small, portable targeted therapy unit that uses Li-Ion batteries to drive and maintain temperatures on the treatment plate between 6-40 degrees to make it easy to apply cooling, heating, contrast and compression therapy to soft tissues (compression is produced via a small pump and compression wraps). It is a therapy and wellness product used for hand held massage by athletes or physiotherapists to warm up or cool down specific soft tissues before and after exercise. This unit also delivers cryotherapy at 6 degrees, thermotherapy at 40 degrees and contrast therapy (switching between cold/hot) within a compression wrap to help soft tissue rehabilitation following injuries. The products main applications are hand held massage for soft tissue warm up, cool down or with compression wraps and contrast therapy for recovery and soft tissue injury rehabilitation. The unit is supplied with 2 x Li-Ion battery packs (14.4v & 44.64Wh). These battery packs contain a standard BMS (battery management system) via 2 PCB’s that control currents and temperatures to allow safe charging/use. The main therapy unit is made with plastic components, PCB's with a screen, switches, Bluetooth module, aluminium treatment plate, temp sensors, cooling fan, aluminium heat sink to dissipate the heat created by 2x Peltier cells (that deliver the cold/heat). This therapy unit can be controlled via an iPhone or Android phone. This is possible via a low power/short range Bluetooth module in the EV1 to make the link to the nearby mobile phone of a user. The therapy unit's treatment plate is driven cold or hot via 2 x Pelletier cells and small temperature sensors to control the treatment plate temperature to +/-1 degree Thermoelectric Coolers. Also, the therapy unit has basic PCB’s inside which have a wide array of very common resistors, fuses, switches, LED lights, LED screen, control buttons and other basic electronic components to allow it to use the battery packs power to deliver/control the power to the temperature plate and associated compression pump. The small mobile compression pump contains a PCB and a solenoid and pump to ensure the compression wraps are inflated between 20-75 mmHg. The compression wraps are material and plastics with a welded compression wrap inside to allow for compression around a leg/knee/arm. The therapy units compression wraps/straps, pump, 2 x Li Ion battery packs and the charger are all packaged in a carry case which is then placed inside a branded gift box and finally a plain cardboard outer box to protect it during transport to the end customer.
