- Description
- The product is Echo Sounder which is a general purpose echo sounder set for shallow and deep water used on surface and submarine vessels. The item is made from multiple components including: stainless steel housing, printed circuit boards, electrical relays, mechanical drive components, thermal stylus, stainless steel fixings (screws, washers etc), wiring and electrical connectors. This product is used to measure the depth of seawater below the vessel and record to electro-sensitive plotter paper. The Echo Sounder generates a sonar waveform that is sent and received through the water using an external sonar transducer. The time taken for the signal to bounce back is then converted to sea depth and plotted in a straight-line format on dry electro-sensitive paper. It is packaged in dedicated SPIS packaging.
