Description
Mechanical Seals come in a variety of sizes, design types and material combinations. They typically consist of a spring loaded rotating element and a stationary element. Both elements contain a sealing face, manufactured from a variety of wear materials such as Carbon Graphite, Silicon Carbide, Alumina Ceramic, Tungsten Carbide, Ni-Resist, Stainless steel, seal faces are technically lapped to achieve a pair of sealing faces capable of creating a seal in a hydro dynamic environment. The sealing faces are combined with other specifically designed and manufactured components that create a effective shaft and static housing seal, and deliver load and drive to the seal faces.
