- Description
- VHP Biodecontamination units utilize VAPROX Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant. The 35% or 59% aqueous hydrogen peroxide sterilant is produced into flash vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP). Under the low-temperature biodecontamination method within an enclosed area, the heated air steam carriers the vapor into the enclosed space. The air and VHP microbial are drawn out of the enclosed space and pass through a catalytic converter degrading the VHP microbial into oxygen and water vapor for a pre-programmed cycle time period throughout the enclosure. The VHP vapor is what kills the bacteria. Biological indicators and/or chemical indicators can be used to confirm that sterility parameters have been met.
