- Description
- Digital Microwave Moisture Sensor Designed to measure moisture in flowing bulk solids such as animal feed, grain, rice, pulses and also in liquids. The sensor can be easily installed in ducting, conveying and mixing systems in process control environments. Comprising a single, intelligent unit that contains all on-board functionality including signal processing, smoothing and averaging, accurately measures the moisture content of material passing over the ceramic faceplate. The external case is made from 316 stainless steel, there is a silicone nitride ceramic faceplate and a glanded cable for power and communications. Internally there are two circuit boards and an antenna made from brass. This sensor measures the changes in dielectric properties of materials (signal absorption/loss) that pass over the faceplace. The unit is packing in a bespoke cardboard box and held within it by foam inserts.
