- Description
- The Directing Gear is a part the Synchronous Drive used with Sonar Type 2008; An underwater telephone fitted to both surface and submarine vessels. Directing Gear (DG) is an assembly comprising: a gearbox, which mechanically couples the gearbox motor to various synchros and the main shaft. The Directing Gear used as part of an underwater telephone system for communication with other vessels. A directing gear sub-assembly for submarines. The system comprises of a number of different components, the main one being a gearbox as well as other mechanical and electrical components such as a slip ring mounting assembly, training shaft assembly, electrical power cable assembly, cover and bearing assemblies.

- Classification has been determined in accordance with the following:- For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, Reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a.
