- Description
- RF and Power Cable Reel The RF and Power cable reel is part of a Satellite Telecommunications system. The system allows in-service government and military radios to operate over commercial L-band satellites. It provides low-latency voice and data connectivity to tactical radio networks. The system is designed for use in a static operations scenario. The cables on the reel connect the System Hub to a radio and power source. The reel allows for easy transportation, set up and positioning of the system. Made from electrical/RF extension Cable Assy: Mounted on steel drum, with steel tube frames and plastic blanking plate. Multicore, electrical cable with TPU outer sheath, unscreened tinned copper conductors and Nylon (Polyamide) connectors with gold plated copper contact contacts. Coaxial cable with TPE outer sheath, twin screened PE dielectric with multi-stranded copper conductor and nickel-plated brass connector body, gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts and a PTFE insulator. Light electro-mechanical manufacture, utilizing soldering irons, mechanical wire strippers, heat guns, various general light assembly hand tools. Cable and coax are joined by an outer nylon braid and manually coiled onto the reel. DC voltage and RF extension cable. The reel is packaged in an outer cardboard box for shipping.
