- Description
- A 2 Speed Switch which is a critical safety device used in engine applications with its function being to continuously monitor the engine RPM. If an RPM overspeed condition occurs, it transmits a signal to close the air intake shutoff valve, effectively shutting down the engine. This safety feature prevents potential damage due to excessive engine speed. The Speed Switch is commonly used in various engine-driven systems to prevent overspeed conditions to ensure safe operation by shutting down the engine when RPMs exceed the setpoint.
