Description
Sodium Silicate binders. Used in foundry applications for the production of sand moulds and cores. Formulations are based on sodium silicates, sugar, glycerine and sodium polyacrylate blended in varying percentages to the customers’ requirements. The products offer good thermal breakdown and high strengths in use. The binders can be hardened with esters or CO². Material is supplied in 8kg, 25kg, 300kg, 1200kg and 1400kg pack sizes.

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3(1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect - a.
