Description
Cadmium Zinc Telluride Tellurium, Cadmium and Zinc. This is used to manufacture radiation detectors (X-ray and gamma ray) that do not require cooling, and that produce excellent resolution by directly converting radiation into an electric signal. Raw materials (cadmium, zinc and tellurium) of very high purity are required to manufacture this type of detector.

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following:- For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a.
