Description
The Hose Line Marker Beacon is a navigational aid for the marking of floating hose strings in hours of darkness or poor visibility. The body is made from galvanised and yellow painted steel tube which serves both as stanchion and battery housing. The top light comprises a flasher unit, lens, stanchion mounting flange and stainless steel protection cage, Stainless steel bolting and a rubber gasket seal the top light to the stanchion, preventing water ingress to the flasher unit and battery pack. The coder has a integral light emitting diode (LED) source is fitted, which enhances battery life. The coder electronics - Incorporate a “sun-switch” circuit for automatic light activation in low light conditions. Zinc-carbon battery pack - A sealed, multi-layer, zinc-carbon battery pack housed in PVC tubing provides power to the flasher unit. This sits inside the stanchion and is easily replaceable. Main Characteristics of the standard OHB 75/6B beacon are: - White Flash, 0.2seconds On / 4.8 seconds OFF. - 75mm acrylic lens - 1.5 nautical miles range Up to 12 months battery life
