Description
Access point for a smoke detector tester system. This is an XLR connection that is designed to be fitted in a location that is easily accessible by the user. It is connected to a smoke alarm tester which is fitted adjacent to the smoke alarm, these may situated in hard to reach locations such as a lift shaft or a location at height, that would otherwise require special access or equipment. The user can plug a device into the access point to remotely activate the tester to set the alarm off without having to gain physical access to it. They can then receive the report from the tester via the access point once the test is complete. Manufactured in-house using plastic, mild steel and electronic components. Each access point is packaged as a single unit in a cardboard carton
Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a.
