- Description
- An 8-channel splitter module. The 8-channel splitter module function is the bi-directional data transfer in communication networks using Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) technology. On the receive direction, the 8-channel splitter module receives composite signals from an input network port, demultiplexes (splits) the signals into 8 individual channel ports, and directs these for transmission over WDM modules. On the transmit direction, the 8-channel splitter module receives up to 8 individual channels of signals from the corresponding WDM modules, multiplexes (combines) the incoming channels into a composite signal, and directs the signal to the output network port. The 8CSM plug-in apparatus is specifically designed for use in Wavelength Division Multiplexing networks. It is essential for the transmission of higher signal capacity through the communication network and has no other applications.
