- Description
- The LPU (Local Processor) Units are a 19" rack mounted systems containing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and interface cards. This hardware holds application logic designed to control and monitor ship Propulsion and Power Management systems. The LPU is an aluminium 19" Rack Mount unit box containing PLC hardware and its associated interfaces. The equipment is all Marine Rates for hazardous areas in high ambient temperatures. PLC hardware, interfaces can cabling are made with Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) materials. The LPU racks are design and constructed to provide the necessary vessel interfaces as well as linking to external hardware to monitor or control plant machinery and systems. The equipment is low voltage (24V) and executes application code which manages the various interfaces and Input/output signal to monitor/control the connected systems. All equipment is packaged within the 19" box with an internally designed front panel to allow the connection of the external systems.
