Description
A Frequency Distribution is required because the GPS Time server generates a small number of 10MHz or 1PPS frequency reference signal outputs. Mainly made of circuit boards for splitting, sensing and amplifying the frequency reference signal, and power supply all contained in a chassis. These signals need distribution to many of the frequency conversion equipment in a satellite telecommunications system. The frequency distribution unit will take in one or two 10MHz or 1PSS frequency reference signals and split them to multiple outputs, such as 10 or 16 outputs. The frequency distribution unit will also amplify the signal to compensate for the loss of signal level due to splitting.
