- Description
- A Bio-decontamination Unit utilises Vaprox Sterilant as a means of achieving dry, low temperature sterilization. The unit has a stainless steel outer shell casing is an economical bio-decontamination Unit for small to medium sized enclosures requiring an integrated solution. Bio-decontamination Unit is specifically designed for sterilization processes in laboratory, medical, and pharmaceutical environments. The unit features include a Control Display Panel which is located on the front of the Bio unit. The touch panel is a backlit thin film transistor (TFT) display equipped with graphics and analog touch membrane. The remote printer box connects to the unit via Ethernet to provide a print out of the cycle record. A separate 100-240 VAC power source is required. The unit is an integrated, small volume, hydrogen peroxide vapor generator for bio-decontamination of clean, dry, sealed enclosures such as isolators, chambers, and work cabinets), air is drawn from a dehumidified air source. The air stream is HEPA filtered and injected with VHP vapor that is distributed to the enclosure to reduce humidity to a predetermined level in the 10-60% relative humidity range. The unit uses vaporised solution of 35% hydrogen peroxide (Vaprox Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant - VHP) and a heated air carries the vapor into the enclosed space requiring bio-decontamination to eliminate bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms, achieving sterilization. The Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant minimizes risk of equipment damage and is biodegradable into water vapor and oxygen. Heating Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant is an integral component of the sterilisation process. Without reaching the appropriate temperature, hydrogen peroxide would not vaporise, and sterilisation would not occur. To minimize exposure to liquid hydrogen peroxide during handling, the unit uses specially designed disposable cartridges containing approximately 950 mL of the Hydrogen Peroxide Sterilant. The reliance on controlled temperature as part of the sterilization cycle is a defining feature of this product. Units are available for operation with 230 Volt or 120 Volt, 50/60 Hz, single-phase electrical service. The bio-decontamination cycle consists of four phases as follows: The Unit integrates processes that involve: • Dehumidification: reducing the relative humidity to prepare the enclosure for sterilisation. • Conditioning: injecting hydrogen peroxide vapor into the enclosure. • Bio-decontamination: Maintaining the required concentration of hydrogen peroxide vapor. • Aeration: Removing hydrogen peroxide vapor through catalytic converters or exhaust systems. Weight 110 lb. (50kg) without dryer cartridge (shipping weight) 80 lb. (36.3kg) without dryer cartridge (installation weight.)
