Description
A Rain Blower Controller forms part of a antenna subsystem called the de-ice system, this is used to prevent condensation forming on the antenna feed window, by the rain blower passing a jet of air across its surface when rain is sensed. The rack mounted controller is connected to rain sensors which identify when the antenna is wet and the controllers function is to then activate the rain blower to clear moisture from the antenna The rain blower controller can control up to 3 antennas via 3 selector switches, providing local manual control and works independently from this control panel, as such if it is removed from the system there is no operational impact.
