- Description
- A noise injection calibration hub. It is part of a system designed to provide earth station calibration in order to minimise drift in signal levels. As part of the calibration process noise sources (not subject to classification in this ruling) are used to inject a reference signal. The noise injection calibration hub is a rack mount, electro-mechanical assembly. The hub’s function is to control the noise sources. It is controlled remotely by a server which monitors signal levels from the earth station and communicates with the Noise Injection Calibration Hub which supports up to 4 noise sources. Weight is 8.21Kg, approximate dimensions are 3”(h) x 10.85” (w) x 8.05”(d). At the rear are connections for power, ethernet and the noise sources as well as a power indicator.
