Description
Gear blow-down unit. This is an emergency backup system installed in civil aircraft to lower its landing gear in the event of the regular system failing to operate. The kit comprises a gas canister to store nitrogen at pressure, a blowdown valve, charging valve, pressure relief valve and pressure gauge. The blowdown valve is connected remotely by cable to the emergency landing lever in the cockpit. When activated the blowdown valve releases compressed gas which forces the landing gear down and into position. The goods are packed onto a crate for transport

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a.
