- Description
- A mechanical seal that is utilised in industrial applications where it is necessary to prevent leakage between rotary and stationary elements within process equipment. These assemblies comprise primary seal faces and secondary elastomeric seals held by a combination of machined or pressed stainless steel components. The primary seal faces require activation and this is achieved by helical or wave-type springs. The metallic components are formed or machined from commercially available steel alloys using pressing or winding machining process. Electropolishing or other finishing process may apply to some parts. These components are bespoke to specific drawings and are only suitable for their intended purpose as components in mechanical seal assemblies and are cylindrical in shape.
