- Description
- Towed Array Sonar System (TASS) The Towed Array Sonar System is used in Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW). The core components of the system are: • Towed Array Sensor Low Profile Towed Array (Includes Vibration Isolation Module (VIM) and Rope Tail). • Tow Cable – Provides mechanical tow interface between Towed Array Sensor and the towing platform, as well as power and data connections. • Winch – Stowage for the Tow Cable and Towed Array Sensor when the sensor is not deployed and used for deployment and recovery of the system. (Includes Fairlead and mounting hardware) • Processor Cabinet – Provides power to the Towed Array Sensor as well as contains all processing capability for the system. It also provides the data interface to external systems. • Operator Console – Provides the human control interface for the system consisting of 2 display screens, keyboard and mouse. • System Cabling

- Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a.
