- Description
- The Rear Triangular Trailer Reflector is fitted to the rear of any articulated road vehicle, for example semi-trailers and trailers or caravans. These reflectors can either be separate units or integrated into combination lamps. This Reflector is a standalone triangular shaped reflex reflector that has been designed to specifically meet this requirement and is approved for highway. The Rear Triangular Trailer Reflector comprises of two parts, the rear base moulding, which is made from injection moulded ABS or Polypropylene, or similar, colour of this part is generally black, but sometimes white and secondly the red reflector, which is made from injection moulded Polycarbonate or PMMA, or similar. These two parts are then permanently assembled together by means of ultrasonic welding or an adhesive. The Rear Triangular Trailer Reflector is permanently fitted to the semi-trailer, trailer or caravan by means of 2 rivets, bolts or screws through the two holes provided in the moulding. Alternatively, double-sided self-adhesive pads can be used for this purpose. They are supplied bulk packed to trailer manufacturers in brown cartons, but also can be supplied in a colour retail carton for the aftermarket.
