- Description
- This product is a mechanical compression joint with a body and nut made of ductile non-malleable iron, thrust washer made of steel, end load washer made of spring steel, and a gasket made of rubber. The fitting has a closed body to effectively seal the end of a plain, unthreaded steel pipe or service. The compression joint is suitable for low and medium pressure installations. The compression joint has corrosion protection made of light oil film. The product provides a high strength transition fitting for a polyethylene gas service pipe to a plain ended Steel pipe for below ground installations, also available for Steel to Steel pipe connections without threading.
