- Description
- A Low Temperature Sterilization System units which utilize VAPROX HC Sterilant is intended for use in the terminal sterilization of properly prepared (cleaned, rinsed and dried) medical devices in Healthcare Facilities. The unit has a large, easy to use touch screen control panel that is used to initiate and monitor the validated sterilization cycles. The 59% liquid hydrogen peroxide sterilant is a multi-cycle cup that is placed in the sterilizer’s cup interface and the user then closes the sterilizer door to create a vacuum condition. Various pre-programmed cycles can be selected to reflect the type of instruments needed to be sterilized. Each cycle has a specific time period and weight parameter to determine the proper amount of hydrogen peroxide from the VAPROX HC Sterilant cup that should be administered for sterilization. The sterilizer chamber removes the pressure and moisture before increasing the temperature from approximately 50 degrees Celsius to approximately 60 degrees Celsius for the VAPROX HC Sterilant to be emitted in the chamber. Chemical indicator strips are used to confirm that the sterilant penetrated the packs that were to be sterilized. Biological indictors and Tyvek Packaging are used within the unit to confirm sterility parameters have been met.
