Description
Ashwagandha Extract Powder. Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) or winter cherry is an evergreen shrub in the Solanaceae or nightshade family that grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. The plants roots are sterilized and the total withanolides are extracted by solvent extraction, Ethanol and water. Then dried, and ground to a fine yellow powder. The powder is then sent on for further processing into supplement capsules and other delivery methods for herbs and spices. The powder can be used as a supplement (under advisement) or as a herb/spice in cooking and is also used in smoothies. It is consumed for its nutritional properties. Packaged in 25kg barrels wholesale use.

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, Reg 3(1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a Part Two (Goods Classification Table Rules of Interpretation) of the Tariff of the United Kingdom (Reg 3(1)(a)); and b.
