- Description
- The Acoustic Link control unit (ALCU) is part the Sonar 2008 which is an underwater telephone fitted to both surface and submarine. It provides simplex communication between vessels. It allows accessories such as headphones to be connected to unit and all control switches and indicators are mounted on the front panel. The ALCU enables the facility required to be selected i.e. passive or speech and the selection of the required transducer i.e. port, starboard, ahead, omni or narrow beam. The item is made from multiple components including, stainless steel housing, stainless steel fixings (screws, washers etc), transformers, printed circuit boards, lamps, wiring and electrical connectors. - Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a.
