Description
A professional standards converter that enables seamless conversion between any equipment supporting SMPTE-2110 IP video, 12G-SDI, and HDMI video connections. It delivers conversion across all SD, HD, and Ultra HD video standards, with integrated reference input for built-in re-synchronisation and redundant power supplies. The unit is equipped with one SDI input, one SDI loop output, and two SDI outputs, supporting SD, 1.5G, 3G, 6G, and 12G SDI rates. It also features one HDMI 2.0 video input and one HDMI 2.0 video output, providing versatile connectivity for both input and monitoring applications. For IP workflows, the device includes a 10G Ethernet port supporting SMPTE 2110 input and output, enabling the transmission of professional-grade video and audio over IP. It manages 16 channels of embedded audio input and output via the SMPTE 2110 IP video over the 10G Ethernet connection. The SDI input and outputs support 16 channels of embedded audio, while the HDMI input and output support 8 channels of embedded audio. For analogue audio monitoring, there is a 6.35mm headphone jack. The unit also provides one reference input and one reference output for synchronisation in broadcast or studio environments. The Ethernet port supports 10/100/1000/10G BASE-T, utilised for SMPTE 2110 IP video input and output, device configuration, and firmware updates. Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: - General Interpretative Rules (GIR)s: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, Reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a. Part Two (Goods Classification Table Rules of Interpretation) of the Tariff of the United Kingdom (Reg 3(1)(a)); and b. Notes to a section or chapter of the Goods Classification Table (Reg 3(1)(b)). GIR 1 - has been used to classify this product by the terms of heading 8517 - Telephone sets, including smartphones and other telephones for cellular networks or for other wireless networks; other apparatus for the transmission or reception of voice, images or other data, including apparatus for communication in a wired or wireless network (such as a local or wide area network), other than transmission or reception apparatus of heading 8443 , 8525 , 8527 or 8528. GIR 5b - has been used to identify the type of packaging. GIR 6 - has been used to classify the goods to subheading level 851762 - Other apparatus for the transmission or reception of voice, images or other data, including apparatus for communication in a wired or wireless network (such as a local or wide area network); Machines for the reception, conversion and transmission or regeneration of voice, images or other data, including switching and routing apparatus. Also classified in accordance with: Harmonized System Explanatory Notes (HSEN) to heading 8517 - Note (II) (G).
