Description
Tyre repair kit. A tyre repair kit made up of 6 parts. Two hand tools made of a durable galvanised steel with moulded plastics handles of Polypropylene. A tube of rubber fixative solution 12ml and three composite rubber repair strips. The first is a type of bradle or bradawl. It is made from a galvanised steel, twisted to resemble wide channel screw. The second, is type of needle, also made of galvanised steel it has a large eye at the point end. Both of these tools measure: handles 7.5cm X 5.8cm; metal part 7.5cm X 0.5cm. These tools and rubber strips are used to repair holes in tyres. The screw tool is pushed through an existing puncture hole to clean the edges and enlarge the hole. The pink rubber strips are then cut to size coated with the provided rubber solution. The strip is then forced into the drilled hole to repair the puncture. The rubber strips and rubber solution are available to replenish ( not the subject of this classification).

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, Reg 3(1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a Part Two (Goods Classification Table Rules of Interpretation) of the Tariff of the United Kingdom (Reg 3(1)(a)); and b. General interpretative rules (GIR)s: GIR 1 has been used to classify this product by the terms of heading 8205 Hand tools (including glaziers' diamonds), not elsewhere. specified or included blowlamps; vices, clamps and the like, other than accessories for and parts of machine-tools or water-jet cutting machines; anvils; portable forges; hand- or pedal-operated grinding wheels with frameworks. GIR 3b has been used as the hand tools are considered to have the essential character. GIR 5B has been used to identify the type of packaging packed in a plastic cover with a card backing for retail sale. GIR 6 has been used to classify the goods to subheading level 820590 - Other, including sets of articles of two or more subheadings of this heading CN Code 82059090 - Sets of articles of two or more subheadings of this heading.
