Description
An oak reading table which was made in 1935. It was designed by Jean-Michel Frank and and was made by a furniture/interior design company called Chanaux & Co. The table measures 60cm x 117cm x 47 cm and has a stamp under the crossbar stating CP and number 20265. The table was displayed in Galerie Anne-Sophie Duval, Paris before being purchased by the current owner. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from Comité Jean-Michel Frank.

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: - General Interpretative Rules (GIR)s: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, Reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a. GIR 6 - has been used to classify the goods to subheading level 970510 - Collections and collectors’ pieces of archaeological, ethnographic or historical interest. 10-digit code 9705100070 - Other than elsewhere specified within this heading: Collectors’ pieces of wood.
