- Description
- The product is a Silicon carbide mechanical seal face and is one of the two seal faces in a mechanical seal assembly. Manufactured from pressed and sintered silicon carbide powder, and machined to the extract design requirements. The seal face with Mohs Hardness value over of 9, features a lapped sealing surface essential to the function of the mechanical seal and can withstand a maximum temperature limit of above 1200 ºC. Each seal face is custom-designed and combined with other mechanical seal elements to meet precise specifications and intended solely for specific mechanical seals used in industrial rotary applications, to prevent leakage between rotating and stationary elements.
