- Description
- The item is a circuit card assembly, part of Sonar 2008 Underwater Telephone. It consists of a printed circuit board with components soldered on the surface. The components include resistors, capacitors, transistors, diodes, integrated circuits and connectors. The circuit card assembly is part of the transmission signal chain for the Sonar 2008 Underwater Telephone. The circuit card assembly is located within the Acoustic Link Control Unit (ALCU) of the 2008 Sonar. It controls and processes which types of signal are being transmitted and applies pre-amplification to certain types of signal. It is placed in an Electro-static (ESD) safe bag, wrapped in ESD bubble-wrap and then boxed in trade packaging.
