- Description
- The L-Band Main Radio Unit – (Platform) MRU-P is offered in Production and Pre-Production Beta models, each featuring a Software Defined Radio (SDR) and L-Band Frequency Converter. This setup extends HF, VHF, or UHF radios’ voice and data capabilities over commercial L-Band BLOS satellites and is compatible with the GENSS communication system. The unit combines electronic components with precision assembly, using advanced machinery and skilled labour. Powered by DC from the Radio Interface Unit (Platform), the SDR employs cryptography for secure communications, including key management and authentication. The MRU-P integrates easily via three ports: one for an L-Band antenna, one for RF connection to existing radios, and one for DC power input. Products are shipped in recyclable cardboard packaging, which is returned for reuse.
