- Description
- Belay Carabiner (Locking carabiner) The carabiner is designed with a locking mechanism to prevent accidental opening. Screwgate is a manual locking gate requiring screwing/unscrewing of the barrel to lock/unlock. Designed for consistent rope control and compatibility with belay devices. Belay carabiners give smooth and confident belaying with tube and assisted breaking belay devices. They have full section top bars for consistent rope control and reduced rope wear. Their shape resists flipping into sub-optimal orientations when belaying, acting to ensure the carabiner loads along its strongest axis. Primarily made from aluminium with a plastic clip. Intended for mountaineering, climbing, and other recreational climbing activities. The carabiner is sold in a variety of colours.
