- Description
- The product is a rubber bellow, a component for a mechanical seal assembly. The black moulded unthreaded elastomer forms the secondary sealing interface between the mechanical seal assembly and the equipment being sealed. The bellow (without the metal spring) is manufactured from Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, (EPDM) a type of synthetic rubber. The EPDM part is manufactured via compression moulding and is custom-designed and intended solely for its specific mechanical seal application. The bellow is combined with other mechanical seal elements to meet precise specifications. Mechanical seals are utilised predominantly in industrial pumps for liquids, to prevent leakage between rotary and stationary elements within process equipment.
