Description
The unit is the radar scanner, it might include the flat plate (customer dependant).It attaches to the receiver transmitter and is part of the weather radar system. It is solely dedicated to steering the radar antenna during operation of the radar system. The antenna Drive Unit is the motorized mechanical assembly that steers and tilts the aircraft’s weather radar antenna, enabling accurate radar scanning for systems. The Antenna Drive Unit is an electromechanical assembly that: - Physically rotates and tilts the weather radar antenna Provides azimuth scanning and elevation (tilt) positioning Contains: Electric drive motor(s) Gear train Position feedback devices (resolver/encoder) - Interfaces electrically with the radar receiver‑transmitter to ensure correct beam direction. - The unit does not transmit or receive RF energy itself and cannot function independently.

Justification
Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a.
