- Description
- The uplink power control system is an electronic device designed to maintain stable uplink signal power from earth station radio frequency terminals to geostationary satellites, compensating for signal reduction caused by weather conditions such as rain, ice or snow. The system constantly monitors beacon signal loss using an internal or external receiver and automatically increases or reduces uplink power as needed. It can either adjust power using one reference signal or using a comparison mode which enables more accuracy. The system adjusts transmission power in real time using feedback from the signal receiver, increasing or reducing power in 2 dB increments across a range of 2-20 dB to prevent equipment overload and to maintain optimal link quality. The system includes built‑in safety features that allow it to keep working and protect the equipment if a fault or signal loss occurs. It can be monitored and controlled from the front panel or remotely and includes a backup system for reliability. The unit has a compact 1RU rack-mountable design and is securely packaged in protective packaging.
