- Description
- This ruling is for PN-002-002-2278-03 only. The Length 258.2 x Width 115.9 x Height 28.0. The weight is 2.17 Kg each. Sacrificial anodes with steel core. Composed of Cast aluminium alloy. Material Aluminium 94 – 97.5% Zinc: 2.5 – 5.75% Indium: 0.015-0.04% Cu: 0.003% max. Si: 0.12% max. Fe: 0.09% max. Used as a sacrificial anode to prevent corrosion of steel structures. Aluminium sacrificial anodes are blocks of special metal used to stop ships, offshore structures, and pipelines from rusting in seawater. The finished anodes to be fitted onto ships, offshore platforms, or pipelines, where they slowly corrode instead of the main structure — protecting it from rust. The Steel core is inserted into the mould during casting. The purpose is to provide a mechanical and electrical connection between the anode and the structure being protected. It is not part of the sacrificial anode material itself. It accounts for 1-2% of the anode volume and 1-5% of the total anode weight.
