The rapid imagery allows engineers to reliably follow complex movements such as component deformation, occupant kinematics and structural intrusion. The camera is only 6.2cm x 6.2cm x 6.3cm, enabling it to fit cleanly within the footwell of a vehicle without interfering with the testing . At lowest resolution, it has a speed of 50,820 frames per second and a speed of 1,180 at its maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160.
