- Description
- This is a gauntlet style pair of gloves, which come up to the elbow to protect against heat sources, chemical and oil. The gloves are certified as PPE for the UK and the EU market. The gloves measure 20cm in length, but can reach up to 60cm in length, to suit the wearer. Both the gauntlet and the sleeve component are made from a synthetic rubber called nitrile butadiene rubber. They have a woven cotton interlocking lining. The gauntlets are elasticated at the top part of the sleeve cover. They feature a hanging loop, with a label.

- Classification has been determined in accordance with the following: For the purposes of determining the commodity codes within which goods most appropriately fall, reg 3 (1) of The Customs Tariff (Establishment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 sets out that the rules of interpretation contained in the following have effect – a. Part Two (Goods Classification Table Rules of Interpretation) of the Tariff of the United Kingdom (Reg 3(1)(a)); and b. Notes to a section or chapter of the Goods Classification Table (Reg 3(1)(b)). GIR 1 Has been used to classify by the terms of heading 4015 - Articles of apparel and clothing accessories (including gloves, mittens and mitts), for all purposes, of vulcanised rubber other than hard rubber . GIR 5(b) Has been used to identify the type of packaging. The gauntlets are packed as a pair in a polythene bag, then a quantity are packed in a box. GIR 6 Has been used to classify the goods to subheading level 401519 - Gloves, mittens and mitts; other than surgical, dental or veterinary purposes. Also Classified in Accordance with: Section XI Note (ij). Chapter 40 Note 1. Harmonised System Explanatory Notes (HSEN)s to 4015.
