Description
An electromagnetic shielded poly carbonate window. This is a laminated assembly comprising two or more layers of poly carbonate bonded together with an inter-layer and incorporating an electrically conductive shielding element. The shielding element may consist of a fine woven copper mesh or an etched conductive grid supported on a polyester (PET) carrier film. The conductive layer is typically connected to a termination system, such as a conductive silver bus-bar to facilitate electrical bonding to the host enclosure. When installed within a customer's enclosure, the electromagnetic shielded glass window provides a transparent viewing area while maintaining the electromagnetic integrity of the enclosure. The conductive shielding layer attenuates electromagnetic emissions from equipment contained within the enclosure and may also provide protection against external electromagnetic interference (EMI).
